The past few weeks have been a crash course in moving instruction online in an emergency situation. How can we leverage our collective insights to prepare for summer teaching?

Building from your current syllabus and course goals, this highly interactive session uses a community of inquiry framework to support you in proactively designing well-paced, socially connected experiences for yourselves and your students. You will work together to strengthen your communication strategies, create an inclusive online presence, and skillfully guide students through synchronous and asynchronous learning activities and assessments. You will also have a chance to apply an evidence-based rubric to assess and refine the overall design of your course and learn about additional tools for continuing the journey as we prepare for flexible teaching in the fall.

Facilitated by Dorothe Bach (CTE), Rose Buckelew (UVA Sociology Department), Lynn Mandeltort (CTE) & Kristin Palmer (Online Learning Programs)

Note: This session is in Eastern time. You will receive the Zoom link in a confirmation email after registering. This workshop runs 10 AM-12 PM & 1-3 PM with a one-hour lunch break in between.
